A New Orleans host and the cleaning agency that took the overflow

The two sides

A New Orleans host running four listings, including an eight-bedroom duplex with same-day check-ins and a cleaner who could not keep up, and a cleaning agency taking new Airbnb accounts, recurring and last-minute.

What happened
01
We pulled hosts and cleaning agencies in the same area and wrote to both sides at the same time, three lines each, one question, no pitch.
02
Both replied. The host had a cleaner already but the cleaner could not keep up with the volume. “I already have one” turned out to mean “I need more.”
03
We moved both out of the cold inbox, set one fixed fee, attached the invoice, and introduced them by email the moment it was paid. Then we stopped.
The lesson

In recurring, capacity-constrained services, “we already have a vendor” can mean the vendor is the problem. The fee was priced on the revenue the agency would earn from a multi-unit recurring account, not on effort.
